Required player actions

  • Midfielder 10 checks the goalkeeper and signals the delivery before placing the ball.
  • Midfielder 8 offers a visible short passing angle and scans the defender approaching.
  • Striker 9 confirms the target zone while winger 11 holds a separate far-side threat.

Coordinate runs

Attack separate spaces with timed movement.

Required player actions

  • Striker 9 checks away from the target, then accelerates as midfielder 10 begins the delivery.
  • Winger 7 attacks the near space while winger 11 arrives in the far space at a different depth.
  • Midfielder 8 delays at the edge for a cutback or clearance instead of joining the same run.

Required player actions

  • Defensive midfielder 6 positions behind the finishers to read the likely clearance and protect the central pass.
  • Centre-backs 4 and 5 adjust to opposing outlets; one engages only while the other protects depth.
  • Full-backs 2 and 3 keep useful recovery angles as goalkeeper 1 manages the space behind the back line.
